MAJOR ERRORS in Harold Camping's "We Are Almost There" Taruah/Teruah IS NOT JUBILEE! By the Hon. Dr. Rabbi Sollog Immanuel
Adonai-Adoni
Date: 4/10/2008 C.E. Harold Camping appears to benighted minds, to be an "expert" on ancient languages such as Biblical Hebrew and Greek. He is adept in neither Hebrew or Greek and often makes HILARIOUS translation errors on his radio program "Open Forum", which is distributed via the "Family Radio Network" (see www.FamilyRadio.com ). He also mangles English quite often. Example; He calls the "parables" of Jesus "parabolic" (look up parabolic). Recently, the "rantings" of Harold, who is perhaps growing senile in his octogenarian years, claim that THE BIBLE SAYS, "THE END OF THE UNIVERSE will occur on October 21st 2011 C.E." WOW! THE END of the UNIVERSE, not merely the End of the WORLD! Harold Camping claims, "It is 'TOO INVOLVED' to explain fully on the radio his theory. So, he pushes gullible listeners to order for "free" his "Book" that explains exactly what Bible verses he used to concoct his "END OF THE UNIVERSE DATE"! The "Universe" will not end as Harold Camping is proclaiming, and the date he gives for his concept of the End of the UNIVERSE is not Biblical! His "book" puts forth NO BIBLICAL AUTHORITY for such a claim! However, his "Book" does put forth CLEAR ERRORS! One of the easiest ERRORS anyone familiar with Hebrew and the Torah can find in Harold Camping's "Book" titled "We Are Almost There", is how unscholarly Harold Camping really is, in regards to Hebrew and the Torah! While there is little useage of actual "Hebrew" in Camping's "Book", the claims he makes about the few Hebrew words he uses are 100% WRONG! Exactly as his date of October 21st 2011 will be WRONG! The UNIVERSE will not END on October 21st 2011! I GUARANTEE IT! Come October 22nd 2011, the WORLD will see I AM 100% CORRECT! Camping claims in a "Chapter" titled "The 13,000th Anniversary of the World", that somehow the Hebrew word Taruah (spelled Teruah by Camping) [Hebrew is Tav-Resh-Vau-Ayin-He] is actually JUBILEE! Camping writes incredulously, as only a senile octogenarian can, with clearly false authority, "That is why 'teruah' is PROPERLY translated 'jubilee'..." It appears Camping is using ERRORS from his "Strong's Concordance" and cannot read an actual Torah or Hebrew Lexicon! Camping writes, "Surely, even as 'teruah' is correctly translated as 'jubilee' in Leviticus 29:9..." STOP RIGHT THERE! There is NO LEVITICUS 29:9 in any Bible or Torah! Obviously, Camping means Leviticus 25:9. Now, in Strong's Concordance it shows Strong's Hebrew word 8643 (Teruah) is translated as Jubilee in Lev. 25:9, that is simply WRONG, that word is NOT Jubilee in any Torah (Leviticus 25:9). Jubilee DOES NOT APPEAR until Leviticus 25:10. You can look in a JPS Torah or Tanakh (JPS is Jewish Publishing Society) or even an NIV Bible and see this verse (Lev. 25:9) is actually about "Sounding a trumpet" a Sophar or a ram's horn (see Strong's Hebrew word 7782). Shophar Taruah/Teruah is in Leviticus 25:9. Jubal or Yobel (Yod-Vau-Beth-Lamed, Strong's Hebrew 3104 for Jubilee) DOES NOT APPEAR until Leviticus 25:10. The transliteration of Yobel as Jubal (Yod can be a Y, I or J) shows how this Hebrew word is actually the "lost root" of the English word Jubilee! While the OED (Oxford English Dictionary) usually lists incorrect roots of English words like Jubilee, as Latin or Greek in their etymological origin. The fact is, the Latin came from the Hebrew word Yobel or Jubal! Hebrew is the correct root, not Latin! Harold Camping is a TYRO in Hebrew, who is obviously UNEDUCATED in Biblical Hebrew or Judaic customs! The sounding of the Shophar is a SPECIAL EVENT in the coming of age of a Hebrew or Jewish male! It is part of his COMING OF AGE ceremony! A 13 year old Hebrew male is old enough to make a noise (taruah) from the RAMS HORN or Shophar! That SOUND is called Taruah/Teruah. Taruah/Teruah is a special SOUND or literally an offering sound. Compare to Strong's Hebrew word 8641 or Tarumah (an offering), the root is Tav-Resh, or literally a Turtle Dove or OX, both were used in ceremonial OFFERINGS! So, the unlearned who listen to RANTINGS by the senile octogenarian LUNATIC Camping, who can't read a Hebrew Torah and see the ERRORS about Hebrew words Camping makes, actually believe the LIES of Camping! He is NOT QUALIFIED to be blowing a Shophar! The only sound Camping is making (sound is Taruah/Teruah) is his blasphemy! The claims of Camping in regards to THE END OF TIME, rests upon his "true translation" of mis-translated words! He LIES about Taruah/Teruah meaning JUBILEE! The Strong's Concordance ERROR of stating Taruah/Teruah means JUBILEE is 100% WRONG! Jubilee can ONLY BE translated from JUBAL (Strong's Hebrew 3104). The King James translators got this verse 100% WRONG! Check other Bibles like NIV or a JPS Tanakh, it's about the sound of a trumpet (Shophar). Yet, that ERROR (teruah is Jubilee) is seen as TRUTH by the LUNATIC Camping! Basically, Camping is claiming that Strong's Concordance and the cretins who translated the KJV say Taruah/Teruah is JUBILEE, so it's Jubilee! Taruah/Teruah is merely a "special sound" made from a Shophar as an OFFERING at Hebrew ceremonies! If, Harold Camping was a modern day Noah or Jonah, as his SYCOPHANT flock calls him, he would NEVER LIE and write in any "TRUE BOOK", that in Hebrew "Teruah really means JUBILEE!" That is a major ERROR in King James Bible translations, propagated by the Strong's Concordance stating Taruah/Teruah means Jubilee! IT DOES NOT! Harold Camping, Strong's Concordance and the KJV translators are all WRONG! As new translations like NIV PROVE! I could also tear apart the translation ERROR that Camping makes in regards to the only other Hebrew word he clearly attempts to BASTARDIZE with his senility! That being "SUKKAH", one of the Hebrew words translated for Tabernacle or "Booth/Tent". However, I would have to explicate upon topics such as how this word is actually connected to ancient pagan temple PROSTITUTES performing in TENTS, while worshipping VENUS, aka the "Morning Star" (samekh-kaph-vau-tav). WARNING! In the early 1990's, Camping
put out a Book touting "1994" as the year for THE END OF THE WORLD!
Camping was and still is, WRONG! Need I say more... |
